Watch Terence Crawford being told that he's down on cards against Shawn Porter... stunning KO seconds later

TERENCE CRAWFORD received word that Shawn Porter was leading their fight. This sparked a dramatic stoppage only seconds later.

Nine rounds into his title defense, the unbeaten WBO Welterweight Champion was saying that Porter was up.

Top Rank cameras captured Crawford's incredible exchange and stunned expression.

American was told that the fight was close. Porter's up. This is (round) ten."

Crawford, 34, looked at the ring and asked: "Is it up?" He's up? How?"

Then, he is told to pay attention: "C'mon Bud. He is then told: "C'mon Bud, pay attention to me.

Crawford tells a member from his corner, "They say they up." They say he is up.

Then he added, "He's up?" OK."

Crawford was at the time ahead on all three judges scorecards but was clearly motivated by the ringside claims that Crawford was behind.

Porter was floored almost immediately after the tenth bell rang.

Porter's coach Kenny, Porter's father, could be heard saying "Focus." Put your head together. Get your hands up.

Referee CelestinoRuiz says, "Are you OK?" "Would you like to go on?"

Porter was able to recover but was quickly floored with the same combination of hooks and uppercuts.

The challenger smashed his hands against the canvas, and for the second time, he made it to his feet.

Kenny shouted, "No, no. Kenny shouted: "No, no. Give me the towel. It's over. It's over.

Crawford's coach Brian McIntyre said in the opposite corner: "Oh, it was stopped. They stopped it.

Kenny, sitting on the ring apron barked: "Yo ref. Ref, that's that. That's that. That's it. That's it."

Porter lost his fourth fight, while Crawford won his 38th victory.

In a post-fight interview Kenny explained that his decision to quit was due to problems in training camp.

He replied, "Honestly? His preparation. I didn't expect him to prepare. I just want to say, "You know what?" He shouldn't be in this situation.

"He fought a great fight. He's very sharp. Even better, [Shawn] is at a deficit.

It's like fighting this man blindfolded when your deficit is like that. He was going to suffer that."

"When guys reach a certain level, they think they know what they are doing. However, they may not always take all the information.

"So, this is where it is now. That was the decision I had to make. It was easy for me. Easy.

"He lives directly across the street from my house. He lives right across the street from me.

"Shawn was injured. Moving forward, this man, as I mentioned, is a skilled fighter. My kid is now at a deficit.

He can't defend his self like he should. He was not able to defend himself.
