Anthony Joshua reveals the reasons he tried outbox Oleksandr Uzyk, but he says he has TWO ways of winning a rematch

Anthony Joshua Joshua has spoken out about why he tried to outbox Oleksandr Uzyk and said he knew two ways to win the rematch.

British boxing star, David Cameron, was heavily criticised last month for trying to match Uktainian's skills in boxing when they fought at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

According to the British star, he has two options for winning his rematch against the Ukrainian

Joshua lost his heavyweight belts a second time thanks to this game plan.

The 32-year old has already invoked his clause for a rematch and is expected to face the newly-crowned champion again in March.

Joshua, who was in the US to work with a variety of boxers and coaches has had more than a month to think about his devastating loss.

He spoke out about his fight tactics to IFL TV this week, saying that he is a 12-round fighter. As you can see in Fury vs Wilder's fight, he was exhausted after only two or three rounds.

It's not what I thought it was. I began to work on different aspects of my boxing and boxing in rounds one and twelve. I learned how to better slip and roll shots, and other things.

"It was obvious to use my natural abilities, but I realized that after a while I had been working in the field that I wanted to do more with my skills and focus on areas I was lacking.

"It's not lost time - I learned other things, such as the importance the jab, pushaway, and feint, and the difference between counter-punching or counter attacking... I just revealed myself in the sweet science boxing.

"But, with that fight it was clear that styles make fighters and that I chose the wrong style.

"That doesn't mean I won't swing like a madman next time, but I have some strengths that will cause him as well as a lot other people a lot more problems."

Joshua answered the question "There are two ways to win" when asked if he would go in next time and physically bully Usyk.

Remember that Usyk was a heavyweight at the WSP and dropped to cruiserweight. He may have realized that he was one of the smaller heavyweights during that time, and has built himself up.

He had over 400 amateur fights, and he's seen people rough him up millions times just for that one style.

WAR TALK

"I have only one thing on my mind, and that's to kill the man. This is what boxing is all about.

"I have learned that if people are hit constantly with the same pressure, they will realize that you aren't going anywhere and that your here to stay.

"That's all that I have in my head at the moment - that one track, to keep going and take this man to places he doesn’t want to.

"And the game plan of the coaches, let them create it. I don't have the time to sit there and study this man a million times, or to look at tapes to analyze.

"Let coaches feed me this information. I am a product of the environment in which I live.

If my coach tells us to box on our back foot, then we can box on our back foot." When I'm sparring with them and they say "What are you doing?" then a fighter will likely box more on their back foot.

He said, "Look at what Wilder did. Fury did the same. You are a product your environment and the person who is teaching you.

"But I can control my mindset and all that I know is that my mentality is important. It is boxing, but heavyweight boxing, is also war and you cannot get hit without getting hit. Sometimes you have to walk through punches.
