Robert Garcia, ANTHONY JOSHUA’S coach, has been accused of "showing off his weaknesses" in response to recent comments.

AJ teamed up with American Garcia before Oleksandr Usyk's rematch.

Joshua was defeated by the Ukrainian for the second consecutive time on points.

Garcia raised eyebrows when he said Joshua "defeated" himself in a Spanish-speaking interview for IZQUIERDAZO.

Even though the trainer claimed his words were mistranslated by Dan Azeez, Dan Azeez, light-heavyweight, fears that the damage is done.

Sky Sports' Azeez, 33 years old, stated that he doesn't see them working again together and that even he is coming out with the mental stuff.

"Maybe people don’t say it to him behind closed door, but I believe it’s something they should have said behind closed door and not say it out loud.

"You are already showing your weaknesses now. Boxing is 80% mental, according to everyone.

"If your trainer has spent how many weeks with me, it's saying that he isn't mentally strong or insinuating this is a big deal."

Garcia was quoted as saying that "During the ninth round, [we] were in the corner telling ourselves that we had the fight."

"Oleksandr Usyk came back stronger. In these last days, I even believed that Joshua was mentally defeated.

"Joshua was mentally defeated from round ten or eleven." Usyk was very proud of round ten.

"That was the turning point in our fight and we were mentally defeated."

Joshua, 32, will be returning to Usyk in December or January after consecutive losses to Usyk (35).

AJ recently returned from Finchley ABC, where he first trained, while Garcia defended his remarks.

He said to ESNews that he spoke with a Spanish reporter so I gave him a brief interview. However, the interview was translated from Spanish to English and it seems like Robert is talking s ***', quite a lot.

"I wouldn’t say that about my fighters man. It's something I have never done before, and it is something I will never do again. "Robert says Anthony mentally beats himself," but that headline was not true.

"I told Usyk that he was hurt in the ninth, but he came in tenth strong. You have to be proud of that.

"So that's no way to say that Anthony was mentally defeated. Usyk returned strong and won those three rounds.

"I said, "Look, Usyk being a winner, the champion, and Anthony grabbing belts that's discrediting the champion."

"But Anthony was frustrated. He hates to lose. He returned and apologized, and all was well.
