DillianWhyte would like to rematch Anthony Joshua on December

Eddie Hearn, his promoter, revealed that AJ could be back in December and named Whyte a possible opponent for next year.

The heavyweight contender is not content to sit around after suffering a crushing defeat to Tyson Fury.

Whyte said to iFL TV, "Joshua just won, that's a rematch I want and one that the British public wants to see."

"It will attract a lot of attention worldwide. It's a huge one.

"Eddie Hearn works with him, he stated that he would like to fight in December. Let's then fight.

"I'm coming off of a loss, and he's coming off of a loss; I've already had two fights. It's December, so why not?

"That would be great for me. "I'll be available for December."

Joshua, 32, was defeated by Whyte, 34. Joshua was stopped after seven rounds. They were matched again in 2015 as professionals.

35-year-old Usyk had backed AJ in order to avenge his defeat, but the star of Ukraine's pound-for-pound team reaffirmed his brilliance.

Joshua had a strange meltdown afterwards and threw out two champion's belts.

He also gave a rambling speech after the fight, for which AJ later apologised.

Whyte stated: "He tried his hardest, but obviously Usyk was more successful than him on that night.

"It was not a difficult fight physically for him but it was a tough fight mentally for him.

"And I believe he's going though a lot, a lot pressure and a lot more at the moment."

"I believe it got too much for him and he collapsed in the fight.

"You could clearly see that he was feeling stressed and under pressure after the fight. He couldn't cope with it.

Many of these men don't know how they should deal with defeats. While no one likes to lose or to suffer defeats, life is full ups and downs.

"You have to be able deal with the ups as well as the downs. He didn't lose, so you can't start crying and losing your control.

"I have had many losses throughout my career, but I am back. "I'm used to working from the bottom up."
