ANTHONY YARDE said there would be no Mr Nice Guy in his rematch against Lyndon Arthur.
After 12 rounds of jabs with Arthur, the British light-heavyweight champion was left utterly devastated after his defeat.
Lyndon Arthur defeated Anthony Yarde December 2020
Except for a dramatic, late attack in the last three minutes that put Yarde just a punch away from winning, Yarde's signature pressure and power were absent.
The Beast from the East, however, promised that he would leave boxing aside once the first bell rings.
SunSport spoke with Yarde, 30 years old, about how he and he respected each other's boxing intelligence and what they were doing.
It's boring and not fan-friendly. It was a tagging match. This is what the fight will be.
"People who know me and how I fight know what I do. I just want to be myself in this fight."
Arthur, 29 years old, retained his Commonwealth title & unbeaten record 12 month ago in the empty Church of England Headquarters using only his jab.

He vowed to end all debates, following the disputed split-decision and return to his best.
Yarde stated that he and Pat Barrat, his trainer, know what is coming.
They know what's coming, and if they think it will be foolish, then more fool them.
"They know me and they respect me enough that I can fight well. There's respect for both sides.
"But I'm going out there to get the job done."
Arthur, who was ranked No1 in WBO, would have expected to be challenged for the 175lb title.
Yarde was forced to concede another defeat by Yarde under a rematch clause. This would have been Yarde's third loss.
The first was in August 2019, when Sergey Kovalev (39), knocked Yarde out in round 11. This took place in Chelyabinsk, Russia.
Yarde would have looked back again and examined what went wrong but had no problem reliving Arthur's loss.
The former world title challenger to the current world champion aims to close the chapter on his path to stardom.
He stated, "It was one the fights, it could have gone either way and mixed opinion.
"I knew that I wasn't me that night even though I was watching it back.
"So, I know what I can do, and I see it as boxing. It happens. It is not the end of a career.
"I have accomplished a lot and my career will skyrocket."
