JORDAN GILL was the victim of a WWE-styled DDT, before brutally knocking out Karim Guerfi.

Guerfi had beaten Gill in round seven, and was putting on the pressure.

After a heated exchange, the Frenchman put his British counterpart in a headlock, and sent him flying head-first.

It reminded me of WWE legend Jake "The Snake" Roberts, who made the DDT finisher legendary.

Gill, then 27, was at that time in survival mode. He was reduced to hiding in his corner and occasionally throwing a right hand.

Guerfi, 34 attacked the featherweight contestant in every corner.

In round nine, Gill flipped the tie in the most dramatic fashion.

Guerfi was rocked backwards by a counter right hand that went around the guard's side.

Gill won an amazing comeback win. The referee waved it off immediately.

Guerfi was immediately treated by medical personnel and was given oxygen. Gill, however, was left with severe burns.

He tweeted, "Just out of hospital. All good on CT scan, only two perforated ears and an injured knee.

"Can someone drop some Ibuprofen to room 1213?"

Eddie Hearn was left to react to the sensational KO. Both fighters were later admitted to hospital.

Hearn stated that it was "one of the most amazing things I've ever witnessed."

"I felt that the fight should have been stopped. Gill couldn't stand, he had a perforated drum in his eardrum and his balance was gone.

"He was being beat up, but looking back now it shouldn't be stopped. But there are many cornermen or refs who [would] have stopped it].

"It was almost like a Rocky movie, when they went over simultaneously.

"It's not human to do what Jordan Gill did there, at the end of day. He couldn't get up, his eardrum was punctured, and he had a haematoma ...".
