Frank Bruno claimed that dealers in Colombia wanted him to transport cocaine to London.

Frank was 20 years old and was in Bogota to get an op. He refused because "crazy things" happen here.

The 60-year-old ex-world heavyweight champion said, "I knew what I was getting at.

"But I said that I was going to be the world champion, and if they were planning on doing me in and hoping no-one would notice, then he was wrong.

"I could immediately see his changes in demeanour after that, and he smiled unassisted.

"Even just thinking about it now makes me sweat.

"I was extremely fortunate to escape it in one piece – and with my head, 'black and dereck' and left where Mother Nature intended.

"I made my excuses, and I left. I was watching over my shoulder the whole time. "I'd had a few scraps back in south London, but this was quite something."
