BOXING legend Butterbean was forced to refuse a fight against Mike Tyson in a "dark spot".

After coming down from 35 STONE, the heavyweight Eric Scott Esch is now ready to return to action.

Butterbean is targeting Tyson, his old friend and YouTube boxer Jake Paul as his No1 target.

SunSport spoke with him: "I'm no ordinary boxer. I go out there for fights, I want somebody to be knocked out." Jake Paul or Mike Tyson.

"Jake Paul is too sour, he has never fought anybody, I'd love to fight him.

"But I think people would love to see Tyson and me at it, which could be a helluva draw.

"Me and Tyson are friends, but I don’t mind fighting with them."

Paul, 25 is currently at 5-0. He has not yet faced a recognized boxer, but is scheduled to fight Tommy Fury, 23 on August 6th in New York.

In November 2020, Tyson, 55 years old, made a surprise boxing return in an exhibition against Roy Jones Jr., 53.

Butterbean was also approached but the American refused to accept as he was suffering from depression.

The KO king has now completed four months of training, under the supervision of Diamond Dallas Page (ex-WWE star), and is ready to fight.

Butterbean, 55 years old, stated that she was "in that dark place." It was impossible.

"I am alive, I'm good to move. Mike is in excellent shape and it would be a great fight.

"We would both come to fight, Mike isn't going to run away from me. This is where his biggest mistake would be.

"I sparred Buster Mathis often, so I know Tyson’s style."

Butterbean also had MMA and wrestling stints. He last boxed in 2013.

In retirement, he started to gain weight and was now as heavy as 500lb 35 STONE.

But Butterbean, along with five other people being coached by Page, signed up this year for a reality television docuseries.

The famous puncher transformed himself by eating a low-carb, high-protein diet that is gluten- and dairy-free.

Butterbean could not reveal the exact weight loss due to his TV show contract, but he praised Page for saving him career and his life.

He stated that he went through a time when he was looking at the end my life, not thinking about how I was going to die.

"But I was feeling down in my life, I was overweight, and I felt down. I wasn't sure if I still had a few years to live.

"I accepted a challenge to do a reality or docuseries with Diamond Dallas Page, and I've been here for the past four months.
