After Tyson Fury's brutal defeat, POUND-FORPOUND king Canelo alvarez offered Deontay some wisdom.
In a thrilling Las Vegas trilogy fight, the American lost an 11th round KO to WBC heavyweight champion.
Deontay Wilder fought with Tyson Fury in Las Vegas, and put on a great performance
.
Wilder, 35, was able to score two knockdowns in round four. He then took an unbearable amount of punishment from Gypsy King.
Canelo, the unified super-middleweight champion, believes that The Bronze Bomber would benefit from working on his conditioning and his head movement.
The Mexican said, "Great fight, great fight" during an appearance on The Last Stand Podcast.
"I believe Wilder needs more condition and more moves.
He doesn't know how move his head. It's difficult to move if you don’t have this condition.
"That's why Tyson Fury beat him. Tyson Fury is an excellent fighter."
Wilder put in a significantly better performance in Sin City than he did last February's rematch.
His only reward for his heroic efforts was a broken hand. He'll be having surgery next week.
Shelly Finkel, the Olympian's comanager, told SunSport that Deontay had broken his right hand below the third knuckle. He will need to have it fixed next week.
"He must have surgery. The knuckle is okay, but it's the bone that broke the knuckle.
"He was sore, but he was fine. He was home yesterday.
"He is healing. If everything is okay, he will probably enter the ring in April or May next year.
Wilder, who was dejected after the fight, refused to acknowledge Fury as the superior fighter. However, he gave credit to the Brits after his post-fight exam.
He stated that he did his best but it wasn't enough to be a good enough partner tonight. I don't know what happened.
"I knew that he did certain things in training, and I also knew he didn’t come in at 277lbs to be a ballet dancer.
"He came to me to lean on and try to rough me up, and he succeeded."
