CANELO ALVAREZ is expected to be a two-time champion light-heavyweight by defeating Dmitry Bivol "mashed potatoes".
The undefeated Russian boxer will be challenged pound-for-pound by Boxing in the early hours Sunday morning at the T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas.
Canelo Alvarez and Dmitry Bivol will be competing for the WBA light-heavyweight title
This will be Canelo’s first fight at light-heavyweight weight since his defeat to Sergey Kovalev on November 2019
Bernard Hopkins, a former champ at lineal 175lb, sees the same result in Sin City. He told Fight Hub TV that he believes he will be beaten by Canelo.
"Mashed potatoes all around the place. He is another smashing event.
"People are really excited -- yes, to see Canelo whether he stays mentally and physically as high as he has been.

"That's what we really want, people who know."
Hopkins believes that the unbeaten Bivol's reach and height will not matter against the fierce face of boxing.
He stated that Canelo did not possess the talent or the attributes that he possesses. This could make it problematic.
"But that's not true, we're not talking fantasy if that's not what we're not discussing...it's all about what Canelo wants to do, and not what (Bivol), gonna do."

They fought to a draw in September 2017, before Canelo won a close-fought rematch the next year.
Hopkins expects Canelo to win the next round. Golovkin looks as old as 40 in his two last fights.
He stated that Canelo would be better than he was during the second fight. That doesn't sound right for GGG.
