Rachel Riley was blown away by Frampton’s maths skills

The Northern Irishman was the first to step up and show his number skills after both contestants failed to reach the target.

It was necessary to find a way to reach 698 using 75 and 7, 8, 10, 4, and 2.

Frampton is a two-weight world champion in this ring. He started by multiplying 75 with 10 to get 750.

He multiplied the 8 & 7 together to get 56, and then took the 750 off of that to get 694.

The fighter simply added four to get the magic 698, without having to use the 2.

He seemed to amaze everyone, including himself and those watching from home.

He was rewarded with a round of applause.

Frampton did not indicate that he was skilled in Countdown prior to the show's airing.

Belfast Live spoke to him about the experience and he stated: "It was great.

"I have done things in TV studios before so that there wasn't an audience. It was not nerve-wracking, but it was nothing that was nerve-wracking. The fact that I felt confident that I would be helped along made things a little easier.

"It was great, you can do five shows in one day. It's amazing!"

He admitted that he watches the show from time to time at home.

"I think I am probably as bad at numbers and letters, but I would say that I am slightly better with numbers than I am with letters."
