Conor McGregor and TYSON Fury have ratcheted-up the trash talk in their incredible Twitter feud.
Fury, a boxing champion, dismissed McGregor earlier as a bully' after McGregor was called a ’Versace t ***' by MMA stars in a dispute over Billy Joe Saunders’ latest fight.
Conor McGregor was taunted by Tyson Fury in a Twitter row
McGregor claimed Fury was failing to assist Saunders' father in a dispute with security officers at his son's blockbuster fight with Canelo Alvarez, pound-for-pound king.
On Sunday night, Tempers seemed to cool down before Fury took to Twitter to taunt The Notorious about his recent UFC record.
He tweeted, "@TheNotoriousMMA did more tapping than MJ's old dancing shoes."
McGregor seems to have been sparked by Fury's famously short temper. McGregor let loose with a foul-mouthed salvo in Fury’s direction.
He tweeted: "Wipe your a*** bro U missed an opportunity hahahahahahah.
"And I'm talking Khabib uR** l***er. Do what you're told. I answer no one."
According to Fury's earlier tweet, McGregor was dismissed as a bully by McGregor, the 33-year-old UFC two-weight champ seemed to be referring to Saunders.
McGregor deleted and replaced the original tweet in which Fury was referred to as a 'Versacet ***'., but it was also cryptically.
He substituted it with a tweet in a similar vein.
It said: "Oh no one likes me, what will I ever do hahahahahahahahahahaaha idiot. You're just a little r**k l***er bro. That's it.
"You stood there and did nothing, while your friend's father was being attacked." That's it, bro. God luck, God bless."
McGregor's tweet half an hour later dispelled any notion that the "god bless" was an attempt to end the anger exchange.
He doubled down on Versace allegations and tweeted a photo Fury wearing a snazzy jacket to the Canelo vs Saunders Texas event.
McGregor captioned it as: "Get that Versace off of you, you did nothing."
Fury will be returning to the ring with Dillian Whyte, his former sparring partner, sometime in spring.
McGregor is now aiming to return to action, having recently recovered from a horrendous broken leg he suffered in the loss to Dustin Pourier last July.
