Jake Paul has responded to Conor McGregor's criticism of his upcoming fight with heavyweight boxing icon Mike Tyson, calling McGregor "jealous" for his comments.
Paul Defends His Fight with Tyson
The controversial clash between YouTuber-turned boxer Paul and Tyson is set to take place on July 20 in Texas, with Tyson being 58 years old and having a 31-year age gap with Paul.
Despite McGregor and others criticizing the bout, Paul defended it on his podcast, highlighting the massive interest and attention the fight has garnered.
Paul stated, "There's no reason for them to be jealous; I get people are jealous, but when the old heads like Conor are trying to hate, it's like, why are you trying to pull people down?"

Paul's Boxing Record and Tyson's Comeback
Paul currently holds a record of 9-1 as a boxer, with his only loss coming last year to Tommy Fury. However, he has since bounced back with three consecutive wins.
On the other hand, Tyson officially retired in 2005 but made a comeback in 2020 for an exhibition match against Roy Jones Jr.
McGregor's Remarks on Tyson's Comeback
McGregor, who has not fought since July 2021 but is expected to make a return this summer, expressed his thoughts on Tyson's comeback, stating, "Oh, jeez. It's a bit strange. The interest is low. I don't know. I don't understand it. I wish well for Mike."
It seems the feud between Paul and McGregor is escalating as the anticipation for the Tyson fight continues to grow.
