TYSON FURY should return to the UK to fight Dillian Whyte.
This is according to David Price, a former British champion who believes Anthony Joshua would beat Deontay Wilder if they meet next year.
David Price believes that Tyson Fury should face Dillian Whyte, after he beat Deontay Wilder
After defeating Wilder in Saturday’s Las Vegas trilogy fight, Fury is now the No1 boxer in the world.
He had hoped to fight Joshua in an all British, world heavyweight unifier.
However, AJ lost his belts last month to Oleksandr Uzyk and has already activated his rematch clause - that fight is likely to take place in March.
Fury will now think about his options once he is crowned king of this ring.
Price disagrees and believes that the Gypsy King should face Whyte, a mandatory WBC challenger in front of a large UK crowd.
TalkSPORT spoke with him, saying: "The Joshua fight was going be a megafight. But I wouldn't rule it out or write off Dillian Whyte fighting for a few reasons.
Dillian Whyte, number one, would be a worthy opponent due to the situation he finds himself in. He got back in after his knockout loss against [Alexander] Povektin and put it right the best possible way.
"He has also had some other wins during his mandatory competition. He hasn't been treading water. He's gotten in with big names and potential banana skins, and he's made it through.
"I believe the other reason is that Tyson Fury should have a great homecoming fight. And who better than a domestic opponent with a name in his favor?
"I believe it makes the most sense, because everyone else is tied up and Fury will need some time off after the fight.
"Maybe in spring, or summer, somebody could put him and Whyte into a stadium. I think that's the homecoming that he deserved."
Price believes Joshua should fight Wilder next, if he loses his rematch against Usyk.
Price said: "This is what happens with heavyweight fights. Styles are what make fights.
"I thought Joshua would beat Wilder personally with his punching power, explosiveness, and close-range range, because Deontay Wilder can only be dangerous at long distance.

"That said, I have seen Wilder deliver a lot of punishment to Fury over a prolonged period that shows how tough he really is.
"That's a great fight and there are many other opportunities for fans as well because they are going to capture our imagination."
