Dillian Whyte and Tyson Fury will compete for a special belt that WBC unveiled in the battle of Britain

The winner of Tyson Fury's highly anticipated fight with Dillian Whyte will receive a SPECIALLY designed Union Belt.

Their rumble is already for Ring magazine and WBC heavyweight titles. However, the WBC has now created a special strap to commemorate the occasion.

This specially designed design features a Union Jack flag to honour the all-British bout.

Instead of the traditional WBC belt with green straps, the Union Belt features a sleek white strap which will be wrapped around Whyte or Fury's waist.

WBC stated: "The World Boxing Council proudly proclaims the Union Belt.

"This special belt will be presented to the winner in the highly anticipated fight between Tyson Fury, WBC heavyweight champion, and Dillian Whyte, WBC interim heavyweight champion.

"The Union belt celebrates and remembers the United Kingdom through boxing."

However, despite the efforts of making a new belt the bout is still rubber stumped and in danger of being CALLED OFF.

The WBC awarded Whyte only 20% of the purse, a basic PS6million. They also gave a deadline for the return of the signed contract on February 19th.

The date for the all-British showdown is still to be set.

Fury claims it will be in the UK, and April 23 is the most likely date.

The Principality Stadium in Cardiff has been mentioned as a possible venue. Old Trafford, the home of Manchester United, has also been considered.

Since clashes against Sefer Seferi, Manchester and Francesco Pianeta, Belfast 2018, Fury has not fought in the UK.

Five of his fights have taken place since then, three of them against American slugger Deontay wilder.
