Joshua's fatigue from Wembley that night has stayed with them.

The Watford warrior, who had dropped the Ukrainian mid-round, looked to get him out of the ring in round five. He went all out and finally gassed himself out.

This onslaught was costly as Joshua was eventually floored in the sixth by Klitschko.

Eddie Hearn, the Olympian's promoter, recalled Joshua's search for the kill in a recent conversation. He said: "It's almost like watching Klitschko against you in the sixth round.

He was doing something like that, then he began to chase him around.

"And then, there are like 20 seconds left, and he's like, Huff, Huff!"

The 31-year old still has the memories of that fatigue. He also admits to being too excited about his KO win over Kubrat Pulev last Dec.

He stated, "It was the most horrible feeling, bro. It also happened in the Pulev matter.

"In the third round I was hitting him, and I thought, 'Stop!'

"But, I was still hitting him. "But" I thought, "Stop, stop! Stop, stop!

"Bruv, I swear my head was thinking, Stop, Stop, Stop!'

"And then, I chased him round the ring and went crazy. "I thought, "Yes, I have him."

"And the ref was like, ‘One.’ And I was like, ‘No.’ [Laughs]

Hearn, Matchroom Boxing's chief executive, remembers Joshua’s reaction at Klitschko's fifth round defeat all too well.

He stated that he could see the bell ring at the end of the round, and it was like this. (Shrugs shoulders)

Joshua, Olympic gold medalist in swimming, will not go for broke unless he is able to be efficient with his shots.

He stated, "That's what i'm learning in boxing. You need to have confidence in your mind and practice what you're going to do.

"That's one key and all that stuff. It doesn't matter how you practice, it just matters what you do.

"Practice head movement, boxing, and aggression.

But you have to learn how efficient it is. How to let your shots fly and how to be efficient

Joshua will try to stay calm and efficient during his clash with Oleksandr Usyk, the former undisputed cruiserweight champion.

AJ will defend his unified Heavyweight titles against the undefeated Ukrainian three more weeks later in front of a sell-out crowd at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
