EDDIE HEAR has backed Derek Chisora, former WBC heavyweight champion Deontay wilder.
After a loss to Oleksandr Uzyk, Del Boy now has a losing streak of three fights. This was followed by two losses to Joseph Parker in just over a year.
Eddie Hearn has supported Derek Chisora in beating Deontay Wilder
The 38-year old Brit is not planning to retire, but he wants to face the Bronze Bomber. This is as American after Tyson Fury's defeat in their tri-fight.
His Matchroom promoter is confident that the veteran will win a major victory over the knockout specialist.
Hearn spoke to Pitch Boxing and stated that he believes Chisora can beat Deontay Wilder if he makes it past three or four rounds.
"He would take the fight with Wilder, and it's good for Wilder."
Last week, Chisora said that he liked the idea of fighting Wilder later in the year.
Chisora stated that he was open to doing anything because he loves fighting.

He said, "What most people don’t understand is that some people want the perception of being boxers via Instagram.
"I'm not that man. "I want to be the guy who, when people look at my resume, says, "You know what? I fought everyone."
"I don’t want people to decide for me. I choose for myself and am happy with the decisions I make.
"So, if Deontay Wilder has to be fought, or if I must fight anyone, or if an American has to be fought, I don’t care." I'll fight."
Hearn stated that he is open to the idea of a match between the heavy hitters. Hearn said: "Deontay, we want you back in the rings. Derek Chisora is the perfect man for you.
"Come on, he is getting on a bit. He's coming off three losses on the spin now. Deontay Wilder is ready for a comeback. Derek's ready."
