OLEKSANDRUSYK's representatives are talking to Anthony Joshua about their potential rematch.
AJ will be rematching the new unified heavyweight champion next season, but undefeated Uysk has his sights set on a tense clash with Tyson Fury, WBC king.
Anthony Joshua is on track to have a rematch against Oleksandr Urysk
Eddie Hearn, the promoter, has disclosed that the Ukrainians' management reached out to the Watford soldier to permit a mouthwatering showdown.
Boxing King Media was informed by the Matchroom Boxing chief: "We've had their teams reach out to us."
Joshua has not yet spoken to Hearn about his decision to forego his rematch against the smooth southpaw who he trained in their September showdown.
He said, "At the moment there's communication among the two teams to say: 'Is this something that [you] would consider?
"And the answer to that is: AJ has not yet been spoken [to] about it."
"I'll handle it, and when I feel that Anthony and 258 have an opportunity, we'll sit down together and present it to them."
Hearn isn't interested in discussing the topic with Joshua, despite the possibility being on the table.
He said, "But I don’t want to do it until I feel it’s the right chance because he’s not going to be happy because Oleksandr Usyk wants to fight him."
"But if there is a route, there are offers, and it makes sense, then we'll see. For now, we are just having conversations.
Joshua, 32, was defeated by Usyk on points in their fight at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. He has taken revenge and vowed to take down his fellow Olympian.
He recently suggested that he might be open to the idea of taking over if the "money is right".
He said to iFL TV, "I think people don't know how to approach me with this rubbish." People don't approach me with that bull ****.
"It may have reached my team, but I believe they don't know how to bring it to me at the moment.
"At this stage in my career, it's not all about the money. It's about respect. It's important to see what I want from this game. Respect is number one. You don't need to like me, but you will respect my opinions.
"The second is to be remembered as a throwback fighter. Someone who was willing and able to fight the best of their division. So that people can see me when I walk down the street with my son, my cousin, and my nephews, they will recognize me as a fighter."
"I don't know if stepping aside is in line with what a morally stand... but I want be known as one the smartest businessmen.
"I want to make smart decisions, and if money is right, we would have to consider it. But respect is more valuable than money.
"Will you take the step-aside cash? Is it a smart business move? Will it impact my reputation and my respect?
"Will my fight with the best fighters be possible?" These are the three things that I need to think about.
