Canelo is aware that his back is against the wall as he faces his third encounter with Kazakh killer Golovkin. He said: "I risk everything just to make history. I don't need it."

"I have already accomplished so many things.

"I am in a position that I don't need to risk anything and I still do it." When they're in a similar situation to mine, nobody does that."

Canelo, the undisputed super-middleweight champion, insists that despite falling to the top of the pound-for pound rankings recently, he is still the greatest fighter on the planet.

He stated that he didn't know the answer to that question (the pound for pound rankings), but that he still believes he is the best.

"Tell me about another fighter trying this in other categories, going up and down in weight."

Canelo & Golovkin, both 31 and 40 years old, engaged in two epic battles on September 2017, and 2018.

Although the result of their first meeting was controversial, many believe Golovkin was denied a clear win.

Canelo won their rematch by majority decision. However, fight fans questioned the scorecards of judges.
