Golovkin was dominated by the Mexican star as he ended his three-year-old relationship with Golovkin.

Canelo was beaming after the points win as his daughter joined him backstage.

Maria Fernanda ran to her father's arms and did a twirl while her proud dad danced alongside her.

As they were reunited after his win, she gave her man a big hug.

Maria Fernanda was born 2017 with Canelo’s wife Fernanda Gomez as her loving mum.

She is the super middleweight king’s third child, along with Emily Cinnamon (16), his childhood sweetheart Karen Beltran.

From his relationship with Nelda Sepulveda, he also has a four-year-old son named Saul Adiel Alvarez.

Canelo, after his win last night sought to put an end to any animosity with Golovkin.

He replied, "Thank you so very much my friend. We are grateful for all that you did.

"We gave three great fights to the fans and we thank you for everything.

Triple G said, "I want to shake hands With Canelo. Congratulations.

"The guy is a true warrior, and if you don’t understand him, you don’t understand anything."

Canelo, who was defeated by Dmitry Bivol at light-heavyweight, said: "I've been through some difficult times in my life, and the only thing that you can do it to keep moving forward.

"I have been through some difficult times lately with my defeats, and I've shown that defeats can be great because it allows you to come back and show humility."
