For the December return fight, Tyson Fury's former opponent or old rival was Anthony Joshua.

ANTHONY JOSHUA may be able to go over old ground in his December return fight.

After consecutive defeats to Oleksandr Uzyk, the former heavyweight champion is back on the track.

Eddie Hearn also hopes that AJ will be able to return in an arena bout before the year ends.

Joshua could fight Zhilei Zhang and Otto Wallin, both of whom Joshua defeated in the amateur ranks.

DAZN's Hearn said that "Dillian Whyte isn't a fight to December, but it is a fight to March and the summer, 100 percent."

It's a huge stadium fight in the UK. Filip Hrgovic just won.

"I believe it was a poor performance by him. Zhilei Zhang looked good. Otto Wallin was also in a close battle with Tyson Fury.

"Dillian Whyte is an excellent fight. I'd like to fight Dillian Whyte in November. Then I would like to fight the AJ, subject to Tyson Fury stuff.

Wallin, 31 years old, gave Fury 47 stitches in 2019, but was ruled out by a close points jury.

Hrgovic, a 30-year-old, only narrowly defeated Zhang, 39 on the undercard for Usyk rematch against over AJ.

Fury, 34 year old, was due to take on the Ukrainian 35-year-old in the first heavyweight division four-belt unification fight.

However, Usyk has decided to stay out of the fight until next year while he recuperates with his family after returning from war-torn Afghanistan.

Fury decided to call Joshua beaten and said he had November 26th and December 3rd booked for a fight.

Despite the fact that talks between the two camps were put on hold after Queen Elizabeth II's death, they are still ongoing.
