Trevor Bryan is WBA 'Regular Champion'

Dubois, 23 years old, takes on American Joe Cusumano (33 years old), who is 19-3 with 17 knockouts, and has never been stopped.

Should Bryan leave the Brit, he could win Bryan's second 'Regular" WBA title.

SunSport's Frank Warren said that he wanted Trevor Bryan to be the WBA champion. He would.

"He passes through this, that's what I want to do."

Bryan, 31 years old, is promoted by Don King - a veteran who is well-known for his work with Mike Tyson or Muhammad Ali - and was awarded the belt in January.

Bermane Stiverne (42), was his former WBC champ. He is still trying to defend the title, though King is known to charge a large fee for any horse in his stable.

Dubois is already a holder of the "interim" belt, which puts him in a good place to compete for the full title held by Anthony Joshua.

The division is still valid despite AJ's failure to decide the title against Tyson Fury.

Joshua, 31, fights mandatory challenger Oleksandr Usyk, 34, on September 25 at Tottenham's stadium.

Fury, 32, will now face Deontay Wester, 35 in a three-round bout on October 9. This fight was moved from July 24, when he contracted coronavirus.

Warren believes the unification can still be revisited if the champions win their interim fights.

It leaves Dubois, Joe Joyce - who was recently made mandatory challenger by WBO - with the task of maintaining high rankings.

Warren stated: "Daniel and Joe, they just have to keep busy.

"Because Joe is at No1 position, Daniel is WBA interim champion. Just keep them busy.

"And it will open up early next year, provided Tyson and Joshua get through their respectable fights. If they both get it on, then it will all open up.

They'll have to find people who will fight, and these are the guys they need to fight.

"We need to continue moving them forward, and get them in positions where they're forcing fights in as often as they're required challengers."
