Jake Paul Jr and Hasim Rahman Jr will face off on 6 August

Many fans believe that the bout can be "fixed". Rahman, 31 year old, and Paul, 25, sparred in 2020. They seem to have had a great relationship since then.

The YouTuber, now unbeaten boxer, has angrily denied the claims.

American noted that sparring partners can often meet up in the ring to fight.

Paul retorted that fan theories were absurd when he was asked about them during a press conference. This is illegal.

"Secondly, sparring partners end-up fighting all the time. This is not uncommon. Look at Gennady Glovkin, Canelo Avarez, Dillian Whyte, and Tyson Fury.

"They [the Rahman family] are so proud and egotistical, and you can feel the tension in the room.

"So anyone who believes that are clearly the Jake Paul haters, that want to discredit everything that I do."

Hasim Sr, Rahman's father, is a former heavyweight champion who defeated Lennox Lewis in 2001 to win the world title.

Hasim Sr. also fought Evander Holyfield, Wladimir Klitschko.

Rahman also reacted to suggestions that Paul's August showdown is "fixed".

My father had a hematoma the size of a grape on his head when he was fighting Evander Holyfield. In this sport, he put his life at risk.

Holyfield could have hit that thing and my father could've died. He really did put his life on the risk. Are you sure that I will disrespect the sport that brought me to private school? Is it the sport that has allowed me to have everything?

Boxing has made me a better person. Because my father dedicated his entire life to boxing, I don't know how it feels to want something.

"So, in what realm do I think that I'm going to go out there with anything but my best foot forward?" If you believe that, then you are a fool.
