Gennady, 40, refuses to retire after Canelo Alvarez's trilogy defeat. Five fights

GENNADY GOLOVKIN will be moving back to middleweight after refusing to retire from Canelo alvarez's defeat.

To complete his trilogy with Canelo (a Kazakh icon) he moved up to super-middleweight. He drew with Canelo in 2017, but lost to him a year later.

GGG was again defeated by the Mexican star, so he will be returning to middleweight.

Golovkin, 40 years old, stated: "Remember guys. I still have three belts at 160. I'll be back, guys. I'm still champion guys."

SunSport reveals what the future holds for one of the most fearsome boxers in boxing.

Jermall Charlo

The 32-year-old American is a major star at middleweight. He has never lost in 32 fights and is the current WBC champion.

Golovkin also completed the last fight in his DAZN contract, so he can accept an offer from Charlo’s PBC stable.

GGG would have the chance to make a comeback in a mega-fight Stateside on pay-per view.

Chris Eubank Jr

Eubank, 33 years old, is pursuing a fight against Golovkin ever since 2016, when talks between the two broke down.

Conor Benn (25), will be his opponent on October 8. However, the middleweight is so confident that he has already booked GGG.

Eubank tweeted: GGG, you had a great race. Let's get back to middleweight and let's fight in December for the belts we still have. Or, just pass them over. I'll take care of them for the next few years while you retire...you earned it champ.

Janibek Alimkhanuly

Golovkin's countryman was made WBO champion with Demetrius Andrade, who will move up in weight.

With three of the four belts at stake, it would be a great homecoming fight for GGG.

Golovkin called recently to fight back in Kazakhstan, and Alimkhanuly (29), could be his ideal dance partner.

Billy Joe Saunders

Saunders, 33 years old, has yet to recover from defeat in May 2021. He also suffered FOUR facial fractures during defeat to Canelo.

The slick southpaw insists he will return for the most intense fights.

Saunders had long wished to face GGG when he was middleweight champ, and now the stars are aligning for them to fight.

Jaime Munguia

Munguia, 25, has been dubbed the next Mexican boxing hopeful. He is a former light-middleweight champion who is 40-0 unbeaten.

Golovkin may have lost his rivalry with Canelo, but he could still be persuaded to join another Mexican showdown against Munguia.

It would be without a title, which might not appeal to GGG.
