"I don't love him" - Amir Khan would like to have tea with Kell Brook after the bitter grudge battle has ended

AMIR KHAN would like to end a decade worth of Kell Brook insults by having a cup of tea and a chat after they have settled their bitter grudge.

The 35-year-old couple started a rivalry by having a schoolboy sparring match TWENTY years before it turned bitter and spiteful in the past 10 years.

Brook wants Khan, a former light-welterweight champion, to share a cup of tea after they go toe to toe.

Bolton ace Khan repeatedly raised Brook's alleged drinking problems and discipline issues and talked about his private life.

The Sheffield star responded by calling Khan and Faryal the "Khandashians", a reality TV couple.

Khan, the 2004 Olympic silver medalist, wants to bury his fists into Brook's face. Then he will hatchet Brook with a nice Northern beer.

Former light-welter champion Kell said that he didn't hate him, and that this was just another day at work.

"I'm not afraid or nervous. I'm just ready to beat him.

"We don't love each other, but I have lived in Kells's head for 10 years. I may even owe him rent.

"But now, I must put him in his place.

"After the fight there will be respect, maybe even friendship, he does appear like a nice man.

"Maybe we will have a cup of coffee together and a chat one day, but it is too soon."

Khan's amateur success made him a TV star, while Brook struggled to get recognition on small-scale shows.

Khan won his light-welterweight world title five years prior to Brook's triumph over Shawn Porter to win the IBF welterweight belt.

Brook has been scarred by Khan's professional shadow as a child. However, Brook doesn't hate Khan even though he was the one who suffered the worst insults and innuendos.

The father-of-3 said, "Hate is an enormous word." "I don't like this guy.

"I don’t like him, and that is perfect to fight him. I don’t want him to be my friend."

"I feel like he never gave me the respect that I deserve, and now I can let my frustration out by punching him in his face in a few days.

Khan relishes the chance to finally silence Brook

"I'm not jealous, everyone in this sport knows that.

"I admire anyone who excels in this sport because it is something I have done.

"I've never been jealous of Amir Khan, but I want to show the fans that I am the superior fighter. He just got more attention and wanted the spotlight.
