Jake Paul adds $500,000 to Tyron Woodley’s rematch contract in an effort to'squash' wild no knockout rumours

JAKE PAUL announced that Tyron Woodley's $500,000 bonus is for'squashing' wild no-knockout gossips.

Paul beat the ex-UFC champion in August by eight rounds of split-decision. However, he was forced to survive a scare during the fourth round.

Dillon Danis, Conor McGregor's training buddy and a well-known internet troll, later claimed that Woodley was prohibited from scoring aKO.

Paul's rival fighters, such as women's star Claressa Schields, spread the conspiracy without providing any evidence.

To dispel these allegations, Woodley has offered a bonus of $500,000 (PS375,000) if he KOs him in their rematch.

He stated that there was a rumour about a clause in my contracts that had 'no knockouts'.

"Someone created it, and everyone took it up. People are like sheep.

They believe everything they see or read and follow the crowd wherever they lead.

"That's a rumour that's totally false. I would be arrested for rigging fights. That's illegal.

"We wanted to squash the rumour immediately and we'll give bonuses to my competitors from now on if they can knock us out.

"We want them to be incentivised and to prove to the media, the world and all the rest that these rumours don't exist."

Nakisa Bidarian, Paul's advisor, added: "And to make it clear, that's contractual under Tyron's agreement.

"There is a contract that says that Jake will get $500,000 if he knocks him out or TKOs Jake."

Paul beat YouTuber "AnEsonGib", ex-NBA player Nate Robinson (37), and Ben Askren (37).

He then won an eight-round point victory over Woodley (39), in August.

Paul, 24 years old, was to face Tommy Fury (22) after which he pulled out with a fractured rib and a chest infection.

Woodley signed as a late substitute, setting up the rematch in Tampa. He claimed that Paul had put a 'bounty on his head'.

He stated that he was all for taking the free money. He could have done that, but I would be open to it if he wanted to.

"You wouldn't give a Ferguson kid half a bag to go do whatever he wants. It does motivate.

"You don’t put a bounty on my own head and think that I’m not going to accept it.

"When you feel at a certain level, that is when you feel like your career and life are at a certain stage, then you want your bag to reflect this feeling. It's not a personal decision.

It's an additional motivator. I'll walk away with $500,000 more.
