Paul has been a part of the UFC welterweight champion Dana White's conversation over the past year.

Usman said he would fight the YouTuber-turned-boxer in the ring, but at a cost of $100m.
Paul said in an interview with The Journey podcast that "Usman is not worth $100m. He's like a $3-5 million type of guy who's owned Dana.
"Let's make it happen as soon as he is freed from the contract.
"I embarrassed Dana's company already by taking out Ben Askren, Tyron Woodley, and I don’t think he wants that."
"It would be too risky for him to lose one of his fighters to me."
Paul, 25 years old, was the last to enter the ring when he defeated Usman's 39-year-old opponent Woodley in a late-notice rematch.
Woodley, who had been defeated on points four-months earlier, was replaced by Tommy Fury (22), who was injured.
Paul added to KOs against online rival 'AnEsonGib, ex-NBA player Nate Robinson (37), and retired UFC welterweight Askren (37).

It appears that it won't be against the UFC’s best fighter, pound-for–pound. Paul believes he has priced himself out.
Usman said, "Jake Paul," on Club Shay Shay. He stated, "We're doing these figures."
"You can add every fight Jake Paul had, and their pay-per view numbers were not more than what I did in the last fight.
They can say what they want. He can say anything.
"Write me $100million Jake Paul. I'll be there next week to kick your arse."
