Jake Paul, YouTube star, will lose a STONE to become light-heavyweight champion of the world in three years

JAKE PAUL has revealed his ultimate goal is to become light-heavyweight champion of the world in “three to four years”.

The 25-year-old takes on Hasim Rahman Jr on August 6 in a cruiserweight bout.

Paul’s August 6 bout against Hasim Rahman Jr is at cruiserweight – meaning he would need to lose a STONE to trim himself down to light-heavyweight

But the long-term Paul is eyeing light-heavyweight world honours – despite that requiring him to lose over a STONE in weight.

His Madison Square Garden clash with Rahman, who stepped in after Paul’s fight with Tommy Fury was scrapped, has a 200-pound cruiserweight limit.

Meanwhile the light-heavyweight limit is 175-pounds.

So if Paul weighs in for his fight with Rahman at the maximum cruiserweight limit, he will have to lose one stone and 11-pounds to trim himself down to light-heavyweight.

The stocky Paul though already has his eye on world titles, despite having just five pro fights under his belt.

Paul told ESPN: “My goal is to be the light-heavyweight champion of the world in three to four years and to fight the biggest names in the sport.

“So I’m going to keep on progressing each time and get harder and harder fights and that’s really all I’ve done.

“So the celebrity and basketball stuff that’s all in the past.”

The light-heavyweight belts are currently held by Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol – two of the top pound-for-pound fighters in the world.

But with boxing now Paul’s “life” he believes one day he can get there.

He continued: “It’s my life. I don’t do anything else besides work on boxing from the time I wake up, it’s a morning practice.

“It’s yoga, it’s meditation, it’s film work. It’s talking with my coaches hours on end about game plan and strategies.”

Paul added: “I’m eating raw liver, I’m eating bone marrow. I’m doing every single thing I can to maximise me becoming the best boxer possible and I know a lot of people are gunning for me.

“I know a lot of people want to see me lose.

“And so I’m working as hard as I possibly can and I’ve dedicated and changed my whole life around to be optimised to become a professional boxer and to become an amazing professional boxer.”
