Brit Josh Buatsi received sound advice from Mike Tyson, a heavyweight legend, on how to treat boxing opponents outside of the ring

Buatsi won't create fake hype about fights against 12st 7lb opponents like Anthony Yarde or Callum Johnson, Craig Richards, Lyndon Arthur, and Craig Richards.

JB, 31, told SunSport that ahead of tonight's fight against Ricards Bolotkins: "Not everyone you fight is an enemy, and not every person who helps you is an ally."

"Life can be hard for everyone, for many different reasons. Just because we are boxers doesn't mean that we shouldn't make it harder for one another.

"We were not born boxers, and we will not be boxers until our death."

"I don't know any of these guys personally and until we sign a deal and get in the ring for 12 rounds trying to take off each other's heads -- I like being cool with everyone."

Arthur, the Commonwealth champion, said before his final fight in July that Buatsi business would never get personal after he contacted Arthur following an amateur bout in 2014.

Buatsi stated that he boxed Lyndon at the ABAs final but never had the opportunity to speak with him afterwards, so he received a message from me of support.

"It wasn't something I needed to make public, but it was cool that he wanted to.

"Boxing is hard and dangerous. I have reached out to many people to help me."

Arthur is the current most in-form light heavy fighter in Frank Warren's stable and BT Sports, while Buatsi leads 175lbers on DAZN with Eddie Hearn.

Buatsi, however, is proud to tell the story about his potential opponent.

Buatsi stated that "Before Lyndon’s last fight, I saw a short movie about him.

"It was about how his brother tragically died and his uncle, and Pat helped him to turn his life around and stop it from spiraling down the wrong path.

"I shared it on my social media channels because stories such as that are needed to be heard.

"Even though he's in my weight range, we will likely fight one day.

"I want to continue to promote stuff like this because they are bigger and more important than me or any fight."
