MANNY PACQUIAO has sensationally snubbed Floyd Mayweather's Mount Rushmore of boxing.
Before he clashed with Yordenis Ugas, WBA (super-welterweight) champion Yordenis was asked the Filipino to name his top four fighters.
Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather fought in May 2015.
Pacquiao (8-weight world champion) had no trouble naming his Mount Rushmore. He also listed many of the greatest athletes of all time.
Fox Sports' 42-year old son said that Roy Jones Jr., Julio Cesar Chavez, Muhammad Ali were his favorite characters. Sugar Ray Leonard will also be included, I believe.
Many were surprised by Pacquiao's decision to leave out undefeated Mayweather, given his loss against the American.
In May 2015, the pride of the Philippines was defeated by Money unanimously in a fight that was called The Fight of the Century.
Since their Las Vegas showdown Pacquiao has been engaged in a verbal war with Mayweather. He recently attacked Pacquiao for his bout with Logan Paul, a YouTube star.
Before the cancellation of his fight with Errol Spence Jr., Pacman stated that his old rival was fighting with a YouTuber to make money.
"And I'm doing my best to make my legacy a better place, so that's something different.
"To fight an easy opponent to make a buck or to fight a great fighter to build your legacy. It's something different.
"I can easily defeat an easy opponent or non-boxers. Although I can pick an easy win, I prefer the best because I want more to my legacy.
"It's a challenge because he is taller than I am. We have a strategy we can use against a southernpaw.
"I know that he is always coming in and he wants to fight toe to toe so that's okay."
Pacquiao's fight with Ugas was triggered by an injury sustained to Spence Jr., who was found to have a detached retina in pre-fight medical examinations.
The Kibawe killer refuses to underestimate his opponent, but he is aiming for a 40th professional knockout at Sin City.
He stated, "I feel young right at the moment. Because boxing is my passion, I'm content with what I do.
"I love training camp, and I'm excited about sacrificing and being disciplined every single day in preparation for a fight such as this."
"For Keith Thurman's fight, I used to do 25 rounds per day. Now I'm doing 30 rounds or more per day for this fight.
"The coaches had to try and stop me because my goal is to continue.
"If I have a chance to knockout, I will go for it. That's what I want for the fans."
Ugas is not underestimated, however. He is a veteran boxer who has also fought in the Olympics. To win this fight, I must be extremely good."
