LUCAS BROWNE stunned the critics by a major knockout win over Junior Fa.
After his shock loss to Paul Gallen in April, the 43-year old was considered finished. However, he bounced back in Melbourne.
Browne's first round knockout was valued at 100/1 by some bookmakers
Fa was nailed by the Australian with a huge right hand in the first round. This left the Kiwi in a poor position.
Browne was able to stop the fight within seconds, even though the referee did not immediately stop it.
"He should not have been allowed to continue, his wobbling was everywhere, but as soon he (the referee said keep going) I thought all is well, there will be another one.
"I have the power to knock out anyone in the world."

Some bookmakers offered 100/1 odds of Big Daddy winning a first round knockout. They clearly believed in a bounce-back performance, as did many sports pundits.
Barry Michael, an Aussie commentator, was one of the voices that had cast doubt on Browne's future as a player. But the WBA Oceania Heavyweight Champion was not afraid to remind him of his remarks.
Michael stated: "He's taking a look at me because I thought he should retire. But he proved me wrong."
"I thought it was a tough fight for Lucas Browne. Your power is the most important thing for any boxer."

Fa's performances against Anthony Joshua, Derek Chisora, and Dillian Whyte made him a hot favourite to fight. However, he was rocked too early, leaving him with very little chance.
