Muhammad Ali’s Grandson Set for Final Amateur Fight Before Going Pro with PFL

Biaggio Ali Walsh to Make Transition to Professional MMA

Muhammad Ali's grandson, Biaggio Ali Walsh, is gearing up for his last amateur MMA fight before making the leap to the professional level. Currently holding a record of 5-1 in the unpaid ranks, Walsh is signed to the Professional Fighters League (PFL).

Impressive Knockout Wins in the PFL

Walsh, known for his striking skills, has secured five knockout victories in the PFL. This Friday, he will step into the cage in Washington, DC to face Joel Lopez.

Looking Forward to Turning Pro

At 25 years old, Biaggio Ali Walsh is eager to begin his professional career. He told SunSport, "The ideal 2024 would be to finish this fight with a win and get my pro career started. As soon as I turn pro, I need to build my resume and stability, maybe still be showcase bouts on the card."

Walsh acknowledges the importance of gaining experience in the professional circuit and plans to have three or four fights as a pro to build his record before jumping into tournaments.

Seeking Valuable Experience

Biaggio Ali Walsh has never gone past the second round in his fights, showcasing his impressive striking abilities. However, he hopes his upcoming bout with Lopez will go the distance to gain as much experience as possible before entering the professional ranks.

Walsh said, "To be completely honest, I hope this next fight is a three-round back and forth war. That's what I'm hoping for in this next fight because it will prepare me for my pro career and it will only help me."

He aims to deliver an exciting fight for fans and believes a back-and-forth brawl will not only prepare him for his career but also give the fans what they want to see.
