Former Champion's Advice
Former world super-middleweight champion Carl Froch has advised Oleksandr Usyk to retire on a high note after his recent victory over Tyson Fury. Froch believes that Usyk has nothing left to prove in the boxing world.
Retirement or Rematch?
Carl Froch stated, "I think the only thing Usyk will do is retire, he will either have the rematch or retire." With wins over both Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury, Froch sees Usyk as the generational great in the heavyweight division.
Contractual Obligations
Despite the retirement suggestions, Usyk is contracted to an immediate rematch with Tyson Fury. Promoter Frank Warren has confirmed that Fury will invoke the clause, with a sequel expected to take place in October in Saudi Arabia.
