OSCAR DE LA HOYA claims he now wants to fight Floyd Mayweather, after he has ruled out fighting Canelo Avarez.
De La Hoya (48), will make his return to boxing this month against ex-UFC fighter Vitor Belfort.
Oscar De La Hoya hopes for a rematch with Floyd Mayweather in his boxing return.
This will be his first appearance in a ring since more than ten years.
De La Hoya stated that he would like a piece of Canelo, the Mexican star who he used as a trainer, in return.
De La Hoya, however, has now reversed that decision.
He instead wants to rematch Mayweather, who won their first fight in 2007.
De La Hoya said: "I changed my mind. He'll knock you out or not because of anything.
"It's just that I thought it over, and I'd actually prefer to call out - after two [comeback bouts] Floyd Mayweather or Felix Trinidad."
