Paulie Malignaggi (41), calls Jake Paul out as an ex-champ and offers to be the first'real fighter' YouTuber who has fought

Former world champion Paulie malignaggi is now ready to take on Jake Paul. He claimed that he would be first'real boxer to challenge' the YouTuber.

Since March 2017, when Sam Eggington, Britain's Sam Eggington, stopped the 41-year-old from fighting inside the squared circle at the O2 Arena, the 41-year old has not fought in the squared circle again.

Since turning professional, Paul has won every one of the five encounters he's had inside the squared.

Malignaggi returned to the ring in June 2019, but was defeated by Artem Lobov at his Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship debut.

The Brooklyn native believes that he is the perfect candidate to face Paul, having won both world titles in the light-welterweight as well as the welterweight divisions.

Paul, 25, has won five of his fights since becoming a professional boxer, but he has yet to face any opponent.

His two most recent victories were against UFC legend Tyron Whiteley, 39. He also defeated Ben Askren (39), in a devastating MMA fight last April.

Paul made his YouTube debut against AnEnsonGib, a fellow YouTuber. He then blasted away former NBA star Nate Robinson.

Paul, despite his punching power and his lack of boxing skills, has been criticised for not being able to match his intellect against a boxer. However, he did see a fight against Tommy Fury in December.

Paul is still linked to a possible dust-up with Julie Cesar Chavez Jr., former WBC champion.

Malignaggi stated however that he does not believe Paul will fight Chaves Jr. as the Mexican could defeat him.

On his YouTube channel, he stated that he wanted to see Jake Paul vs. a true boxer. It's going to be an older man, I believe.

"But it can't be just an older man nobody has ever heard of. He's a little older than he used to be, but he's also a little smaller. He's going to hit him, so maybe he isn't the biggest puncher. Err, Paulie Malignaggi?

"There's a lot of talk about Chavez Jr., but I think he beats Jake Paul.

"I believe Paul was having problems with Tyron Woodley, until he knocked them out. I don't believe he is capable of taking on a boxer in his prime.

Jake Paul doesn't cut corners when it comes to his diet

"Chavez Jr. in his prime was not even that good, but I still believe he was more talented than Jake Paul because he won a legitimate world championship.

"I believe he is too big because he also has the weight, he might even be large enough to cause Jake Paul a lot more problems.

Paul is the star here. You want to ensure that you nurture him by placing him in fights that are risky but where he can win.
