RICKY HATTON'S fight with Marco Antonio Barrera in his comeback is OFF.
43-year-old boxing legend was scheduled to make a return to the ring on July 2nd for an eight-round show fight at the AO Arena Manchester.

Hatton had lost a remarkable two-stone to fight and sparred with his son Campbell to prepare.
The fight was postponed and plans are for it to be rescheduled.
After Hughie Fury, who was headlining Sky Sports' Manchester show on the same evening, fell ill and his fight against Michael Hunter was postponed, the clash was cancelled.
Tyson Fury's younger cousin hoped that a win would propel him to a title fight against WBA heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois.

Hatton will now be fighting under a different promotion than Hughie. The entire evening's card will be canceled.
Barrera, a Mexican great, was the Hitman's favorite opponent. He had made every preparation possible.
Hatton resisted junk food and booze, sticking to a strict diet.
After a remarkable two-stone weight loss over the past seven weeks, he proudly said he could now "hide behind the lamppost". Tyson Fury was also in attendance.

The Hitman captioned two photos of the couple in the ring together and wrote: "Very emotion day for me as father today.
"Couldn’t be prouder about @campbellhatton as everyone knows...
"But I never imagined he'd turn pro, and I certainly never imagined that I'd be training camp sparring alongside him.
"Had many proud moments over the years... that was up there."
Campbell said, "Few rounds this afternoon with the old fella."
"Neither of us has taken a backwards move...
"Really proud of the progress he's made in the last few months.
