Whyte has been waiting patiently for his chance at Tyson Fury’s WBC belt. This is another difficult task.

The Brixton banger is not content to remain on the sidelines, and will risk his position in the rankings again.

SunSport compares the two.

Dillian Whyte

Whyte is now the most prominent star in the division, having lost his first defeat to Anthony Joshua in 2015.

He has won over Lucas Browne and Joseph Parker, Derek Chisoras, Oscar Rivas, Alexander Povetkin, and Derek Chisora. This is one of his best records.

Even though he had been eliminated seven months earlier, he proved able to overcome adversity and beat Povetkin during their March rematch.

Whyte's jab is excellent and helps to set up his large right hand as well as honey-punch left hook.

He also won points over Rivas, Parker and Chisora.

He won the rematch against Chisora, which he did in 2018, even though two judges were against him. This is more proof that he can do it in dramatic fashion.

At 6ft 4in, Whyte gives away a slight height advantage over Wallin. However, with an equal reach, it allows Brits to win with their trademark hooks.

Otto Wallin

Wallin was an unknown prospect, but he had international amateur experience before he fought Fury in 2019.

After taking the Gypsy King score, and making him 47 stitches in round three of a hook, his star power skyrocketed overnight.

Wallin has won respectable victories over Travis Kauffman, Dominic Breazeale and Dominic Breazeale since then. Joshua and Deontay wilder have beaten Wallin before.

AJ used him as a sparring partner and they even boxed together in amateurs.

Whyte will also be provided with his first opponent in southpaw since 2014's journeyman Tomas Mrazek.

Wallin currently ranks 11th in IBF, with a record 22-1 with one win.
