The Tommy Fury vs Anthony Taylor tape: How Love Island's star and MMA fighter compare before the PPV fight

TOMMY FURRY may be just one fight away from facing Jake Paul, but first, he must defeat Jake Paul's sparring partner.

Fury will be featured on the undercard of his online rival on August 29. This will lead to a pay-per view clash between the celeb pair.

Taylor, a Paul sparring partner and MMA fighter, stands in Taylor's way.

It will be Fury's first US appearance and gives him an opportunity to communicate with Paul, who headlines against Tyron Woodley.

SunSport compares Taylor to this.

Tommy Fury

Fury was raised by uncle Peter and brother Tyson to boxing.

He was quiet and learned his trade at the gym, but only ten bouts of amateur wrestling were his experience.

Fury, who was a part of Tyson's team but was not well-known, became a professional in 2018.

However, his career skyrocketed when he was able to enter ITV's hit TV show Love Island while he was 2-0.

Fury was runner-up with his now-girlfriend Molly Mae Hague. He quickly became a star on his own, far from Tyson.

He has seen improvement to 6-0 over the past year, showing signs of promise but he is still untested, having only faced journeyman opponents.

Fury, 22 years old, was not able to go the distance when he returned to the ring in June. However, he showed glimpses of a sharp jab and a right uppercut that caught the eye.

Taylor will have an advantage because he has more experience than him, but he is naturally STONE heavier and has a wider reach.

Anthony Taylor

Taylor, 32, was a pro fighter in MMA six year ago. He lost four of his first seven fights.

This included a loss to Conor McGregor's protege James Gallagher, in 2016.

Recently, Taylor won his fourth spin and has not lost in three years. He also recently defeated Chris Avila, Nate Diaz’s training partner.

Part-time actor and former STRIPPER, the part-time actor has only boxed once before, losing to Donte Subbs by split-decision.

He made a name for his self earlier in the year by calling out Paul to sparring sessions, which were later organized.

They formed a friendship, despite their initial bad blood, and they continue to train together.

Taylor assisted Paul with preparations for his fourth fight against Woodley, an ex-UFC champion.

He normally fights at 155lbs, but Fury will require him to box at 180lbs.
