Tyson Fury has sent Anthony Joshua a contract. This confirms Frank Warren's confirmation that the Battle of Britain fight is getting closer

ANTHONY JOSHUA was officially given a contract to fight Tyson Fury – with the Battle of Britain edging closer.

Frank Warren, promoter of AJ's fight, claimed that paperwork was already on its way to his team. They are still waiting for a response from WBC on December 3, in Cardiff.

Warren stated in his Daily Star column that the contracts had been sent to Anthony Joshua's staff. They should arrive Friday morning.

"Now, we wait for them to read them and sign so that we can get one the biggest events in British boxing."

"Since Queen's passing, Tyson has been respectful of her counsel and kept it in his mind while we worked behind the scenes on the deal.

"We sent Joshua the contracts, and that was the next step.

"I don’t think there will be any issues. This fight must be won by all of us.

After an undisputed superfight in Saudi Arabia, both heavyweight stars were in this spot last August.

However, Fury (34-year-old) was ordered by a US arbitrator to fight in a trilogy bout with Deontay wilder (36), which he won in round 11.

However, unification hopes with Joshua (32), had already collapsed after a points loss against Oleksandr Usyk (35)

Last month, the pair met again in Saudi Arabia with Usyk emerging victorious.

Fury was supposed to fight the Ukrainian for the four belts, but the star of pound-for-pound has decided to stay home until next year.

The Gypsy King, who was unpredictable, decided to focus his attention on AJ, the beaten-and bruised.

Joshua agreed to a 60/40 split, perhaps to call a possible bluff.

Fury, clearly not one to be played, ordered his team make the unlikely deal a fact, and the fight is now closer than ever.

Warren stated that the WBC title would be up for grabs, but it will also be about bragging rights between the two.

"For years, we have longed for this and were close to it before. But now it seems like the right time to make it happen."
