TYSON FURY was named in Ring Magazine's top ten pound for pound rankings.
However, four of seven judges disapprove of the Gypsy King being included.
After the American's shocking defeat to George Kambosos, Fury has taken Teofimo Lopez’s place.
Deontay Wilder was made to work by the Gypsy King the two previous times they met, which led to him being recognized.
However, the majority of judges disagreed that he should be there, despite his WBC and Ring Magazine heavyweight titles.
Adam Abramowitz suggested Fury should be awarded the No 10 spot.
He stated that the Ring had previously featured heavyweights in its pound for pound. I don't believe that a heavyweight cannot be part of P4P discussions.
Tom Gray, who subscribes to the "no heavyweights" rule, wanted to see other names.
He stated: "One Charlos?" Fulton? Tank? Shakur? Kambosos? Someone else? Discuss..."
Diego Morilla supported the Gypsy King, saying: "I don’t see why Tyson Fury couldn’t be our No. 10 here."
"He has a lot of credentials and a very effective style, even though it isn't too visually pleasing to look at."
Michael Montero replied, "I'm not against rating heavyweights pounds for pound. But Fury hasn’t done a lot P4P worthy work in mine opinion.
"He destroyed Wilder twice but Deontay was not exactly elite in terms skills and Tyson weighed more than him by 50 pounds.
"I don't know who we bring in at Number 10, but nobody has really distinguished themselves from the rest of the pack.
"Chocolatito maybe? Many believe [Roman] Gonzalez beat Juan Francisco] Estrada, our current No 8 earlier in the year.
"I'M AGAINST FURRY BEING IN"
Gray replied, "I'm against Fury's being in the top 10 pound-for pound simply because he doesn't require it."
"Hey Tyson. We know that you are the best heavyweight fighter in the world, and you would beat any man alive. But we also have you pound for dollar No 10 behind Kazuto.
"It just doesn’t work for me. Usyk is given a pass for having come from a cruiser.
"Anyway Michael, if you are worried about the size, Fury won't be able to make your P4P top 10.
"He will be 30 pounds more than Joshua and 50 percent heavier than Usyk."
"The same argument applies regardless of whether he eliminates the top guys in the division.
"I thought Choc beat Estrada. But something isn't right about his re-entry. Anyone else?"
The panel continued to debate Fury's inclusion, but eventually it was agreed.
Canelo Alvarez is still the top, with Oleksandr Uzyk second.
Terence Crawford is now up to third place from fourth, leapfrogging NaoyaInoue.
American Errol Spence and Brit Josh Taylor are non-movers in fifth or sixth.
Lopez took the seventh spot, with Estrada and Vasyl Lomachenko moving up one spot each to make up the gap. Fury completed the top 10.
