TYSON FURY reacts to the fourth anniversary of Anthony Joshua’s x-rated message urging he to get back in his ring.
Joshua called Wladimir Klitschko the Gypsy King seven months after becoming the unified heavyweight champion against him. He had gained 28 stone in his battle with addiction and Joshua was now calling out Joshua on Twitter.
Tyson Fury
sent an x-rated message to him about his weight gain.
He tweeted: @Tyson_Fury, get fit, fat f**k.
The tweet had the desired effect, motivating Fury to lose weight and make a comeback. Fury did this in June 2018, with Ben Davidson as his former trainer.
BT Sport's Boxing account sent out a tweet to remind their followers about the anniversary. Fury liked it and tweeted the quote.
He said, "With the right mindset & focus you can achieve everything."
Fury returned to the Sefer Seferi ring and would face Francesco Pianeta, before his first war against Deontay Wilder. This ended in a controversial split draw.
Before his dethroning of Wilder last Feb., the Wythenshawe soldier won back-to-back victories against Tom Schwarz and Otto Wallin.
In October, the pair renewed their rivalry and participated in one of the most exciting heavyweight fights in modern history.
Fury, the fan favourite, won the Sin City showdown with a victory in the 11th round of KO after a thrilling back and forth affair.
Fury's next fight is set for March, according to reports.
Brit Dillian Whyte is expected to be the next opponent for the 33-year old, but promoter Frank Warren says that the former unified champ is not in any hurry to fight the Brixton banger.
TalkSPORT was informed by him that he doesn't believe anything will happen before the WBC holds their convention. That's later in the month, and I don’t believe that it's going to happen after then.
Tyson believes there is no rush.
"It doesn't matter who says it, as I have said to everyone. He will do whatever he wants.
He'll do it if the deal is right. He won't do it if he doesn’t want to. He is his own man."
