Tyson Fury Set for 2024 Rematch with Francis Ngannou After Talks with Saudi Boxing Chiefs

The Rematch is On

Boxing fans, get ready for another epic showdown! Tyson Fury is gearing up for a highly anticipated rematch with former UFC champion Francis Ngannou. The two fighters clashed in a crossover bout last month in Saudi Arabia, with Fury narrowly emerging as the victor. Now, talks are underway for a rematch that is sure to captivate audiences.

A Lengthy Conversation

In an interview with The MMA Hour, Fury's co-promoter Frank Warren spilled the beans on the rematch plans. Apparently, both fighters are keen on stepping into the ring together again. Warren shared, "Tyson told me that he wants the rematch, and I know Ngannou wants it. We had quite a lengthy conversation about it, and I'm quite sure we'll do it again."

Undisputed Title Fight First

Before Fury can focus on settling the score with Ngannou, he has another massive challenge on the horizon. On February 17, the Gypsy King will face Oleksandr Usyk in a historic undisputed heavyweight title fight. This match has been highly anticipated among boxing enthusiasts and is set to be a monumental event.

Ngannou's Boxing Skills

Ngannou proved himself as a formidable opponent in the previous bout with Fury. Despite being a relative newcomer to boxing, the MMA fighter showcased impressive skills and even dropped Fury in the third round. Warren believes Ngannou could give some of the other big names in the heavyweight division a run for their money.

What's Next?

As for when the rematch will take place, Warren remained cautious. He stated, "Let's get the big one [with Usyk] out of the way first, and then we'll see where we go. But I do think it'll happen." Boxing fans will have to wait patiently for further updates on this highly anticipated rematch.
