After years of Whyte calling Fury out, their rivalry is about to be settled in the ring for Fury’s WBC title.

The British couple were not always bitter, however. The Gypsy King posted a series pictures of the pair together.

On Twitter, he wrote: "Funny the way people treat you when your good to them."

Whyte posted an earlier picture to Instagram with the caption: "The coward really doesn’t want any smoking."

"I cannot wait for my moment, it'll be a special evening."

33-year-old Whyte is the WBC interim champion and, in turn, the mandatory challenger to the title.

However, he has been unable to get an official order to fight Fury 33 due to the legal action he filed against the WBC.

After he attempted to fight Anthony Joshua 32, the unbeaten champion was embroiled in a long legal battle.

He failed to win his contract trilogy fight with Deontay wilder, 36. This bout he won in round 11 last year.

Fury sympathizes with Whyte, but warned him that he won't go through another lengthy arbitration process.

He said to iFL TV, "I thought that I was going fight Dillian Whyte, but I don’t know what he is doing in his private life with WBC.

"He has a court matter going on and it's kinda s *, because I know how long arbitrations can take because my own with Deontay wilder took 18 months.

"I pray he doesn't get caught in the long grass, and I hope he doesn't get force into another fight as a voluntary defense.

"But I don’t care, they are all just work outs for me. I will destroy them all as I have done every day of my life.

"It doesn't matter if it's Dillian Whyte or Dillian Blue.

"I don't want to wait around for others, I will fight again in February, or early March if necessary, to defend my WBC heavyweight title."
