TYSON FURY believes that a fight with Anthony Joshua would be his "easiest fight", according to Steve Egan, his amateur coach.
Fury was 14 years old when Egan began training him. He became one of the most dominant boxers in boxing history.
First Gypsy King trainer, Joshua, hopes that the 33-year old will eventually face an all-British fight with Joshua. He claims that Joshua is "scared to his death" by his former protege.
SunSport spoke with Egan: "Well, that's what I hope happens. Tyson will win the fight easily. Joshua isn't in his league. I think he is scared to death. After Ruiz's loss, Joshua lost a lot.
"It will make history, it will be a huge fight. Joshua lacks movement and has a poor chin. You know that he has once ducked Tyson.
"Eddie Hearn, a very intelligent man, doesn't want Tyson anywhere near him. He knows he would be defeated, which I can understand.
"I hope the fight will occur. Everyone wants to see it. Many people believe Joshua can beat Tyson. They must be crazy because it's impossible.
"Unless Tyson rolls into Joshua and runs into him round one, and Joshua catches Tyson on the chin. Tyson will still get up, just as he did in the past.
"We talked a lot about Joshua. Tyson stated, "It's the most difficult fight there is for me." He told me that he had made it for me. He enjoyed laughing and winding him up.
"They are both well-known sportsmen, at the top of their game. Tyson enjoys a little banter. It's too short to not have a good time. Tyson loves to laugh.
"Tyson will box his head off and stop Joshua. There are still people who think Joshua is great, as I mentioned. He's done well, he has done well with himself, and Eddie Hearn did a great job with him.
"Eddie Hearn is aware of it and will not allow him to be anywhere near Tyson Fury." Joshua knows it so it has to be his 'end-of-career' fight. He's done if Tyson beats him before then.
Egan also believes Fury will beat Oleksandr Usyk (an undefeated heavyweight), who appears set for a rematch against Joshua.
However, the boxing coach refuses to rule out Dillian Whyte as the Mancunian's next opponent, even though he believes the Gypsy King is better than him in every way.
Egan said, "Yes, it'll be a great fight. Again, I believe Tyson will beat Usyk. He's too large for him. Usyk has great movement, but Tyson is bigger. Tyson could draw him in, Usyk, a very skilled boxer, is that not true? I believe the size wins.
"Dillian Whyte: You can't tell that it's a walk-in-the-park fight. That is not possible. He'll beat him, just as Usyk beat him. But heavyweight fighting is not an easy sport. One punch to the chin is all it takes. Tyson is the smartest man I know.
"It's a good income for him, but he isn't good enough to beat Tyson. Tyson will knock him off his feet. Tyson's spirit, heart, will, will, world-class jab and movement, as well as his footwork and footwork are all exceptional. Tyson is the complete package.
