Tyson Fury's Retirement Consideration
Former boxer George Groves has expressed doubts about Tyson Fury's future in boxing, suggesting that the Gypsy King may retire before his much-anticipated fight against Oleksandr Usyk. The two heavyweights are set to face off in a historic four-belt unification fight.
Postponement and Controversy
Fury's planned Saudi showdown with Usyk on December 23 was postponed following his controversial split-decision win over boxing novice Francis Ngannou. The Gypsy King, who initially expected an easy victory, was dropped in the third round, leading to speculation about his readiness for the upcoming fight.
Retirement Speculation
Speaking to Boxing King Media, George Groves expressed uncertainty about Fury's dedication to the sport and suggested that retirement might be on the horizon. Groves noted that Fury wasn't fully prepared for the Ngannou fight and questioned whether, at 35 years old and with numerous achievements under his belt, Fury truly wants to continue boxing.
Ngannou Rematch More Likely?
George Groves also shared his belief that Fury is more likely to pursue a rematch with Francis Ngannou rather than face Usyk. Groves thinks that the risk of losing to Usyk may outweigh the potential rewards, including significant prize money and increased reputation.

Undefeated Fighters
Both Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk enter the highly-anticipated fight with undefeated records. Fury has won 34 of his 35 bouts, with one draw against Deontay Wilder. Usyk, on the other hand, has a perfect record of 21 wins in his professional career.
