DEREK CHISORA will continue to rock like his fellow veteran headliners, the Rolling Stones, until he is unable to give Satisfaction to the fans.
After the two had a heated pre-fight press conference, the 38-year-old warhorse will face Kubrat Pulev from Bulgaria at London's O2 on Saturday.
Derek Chisora has made a vow to continue performing like the Rolling Stones, despite being told to retire
For his weigh-in before the Kubrat Pulev fight, the 38-year old wore a Boris Johnson Mask
However, despite three losses at the spin and a beard changing with age, Del Boy isn't ready to retire.
Chisora stated that instead of dying in old age, my beard is turning an orange color -- perhaps we'll call it gold.
"I don’t know how to handle retirement. "I'm not retiring, but I am on my journey out.
"Think about this as my encore, and I'm going to give the fans big rock 'n-roll anthems to go.
"How many times have you been told the Rolling Stones are no longer around? Then, you hear the intro to the guitar 'da da, dadada, da da, da. da, da. I can't get ...'"'
Chisora's first career was marred with wild antics worthy of the NME or the Boxing News, but eight years of parenthood has mellowed him -- just.
He believes that his hellraising days will be a good way to ensure he a comfortable and sensible retirement.
Chisora stated that life is all about enjoying it. If you don't love the rewards of being an athlete, it is not worth being a great one.
"Cristiano Rondo has seven Bugattis and flies in private jets.
"But, you can find good athletes who don’t do anything. Then when they announce their retirement they begin trying to catch up on the 16-17 years of living extravagantly that they have missed.
"What happens is that you become addicted to alcohol, the fast life, cocaine and everything else.
"While you're doing this, other people your age are getting settled with their families.
"Me? I do both. I do not use cocaine. But I do enjoy going to parties, I like life, I go out to nice restaurants, and I live in a nice home." I also enjoy my time with my children."
Chisora is a throwback fight fighter. They don't make them like this anymore.
He explains that it all comes down to one simple X rated mantra you can't teach in any gym, or that comes with any amount talent.
He said, "I don’t give a damn ***.." Boxing is a difficult game so you need to be even more tough.
"I don't care ***'." is your mindset. This is the only way to keep yourself in the game.
"If you focus on worrying or worrying about anything else, you're in trouble."
"Fortunately, for me, I really don't give an f ***."."
