BRITISH boxing fans will be in for a treat with Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua almost being reunited towards the end.
After claiming that Oleksandr Usyk was not in contact, the Gypsy King called Joshua.
AJ accepted Fury's offer, despite having lost to Usyk less then a month before.
This is all you need to know about Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua.
Joshua vs Fury: When will it happen?
Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua was initially scheduled for two fights. However, the pair reached a verbal agreement last summer.
The fight was to take place in August, but Deontay Wilder's legal team beat Fury to win a case. This secured the Bronze Bomber's right for a contract trilogy rematch. He lost.
Negotiations are moving along well with the mention of the dates of November 26th, and December 3rd.
Joshua vs Fury: Where will it be held?
Hearn stated that the first fight would likely take place in Saudi Arabia with the second in the UK.
Anthony Joshua won his titles back against Andy Ruiz Jr. in Saudi, while Tyson Fury impressed the crowd with a WWE performance in the Gulf State.
Reports suggest that the "Battle of Britain" clash could be held at Cardiff's Principality Stadium.
Joshua vs Fury: How much will they make?
It's a lot. This is the simple answer.
However, a PS70million figure has been circulated with Tyson Fury expected to claim 60% and AJ taking 40%.
Hearn also talked earlier this year about how the pair will make "Mayweather money", referring to the huge purses Floyd used for his fights.
Hearn stated, "It's definitely I think, you understand, the biggest fight and the most lucrative fight in boxing right at the moment - unquestionably."
"That's Mayweather money. Do you know what? We haven't seen Mayweather money in Mayweather since Mayweather.
"It's impossible to give an amount. Because it is a revenue share, there are no set purses. It's certain to break all records."
Joshua vs Fury: What hurdles remain to be cleared?
Boxing fans have a lucky escape!
After the date, venue and official purse numbers have been agreed upon, the British heavyweights can begin preparing for Battle of Brtiain.
Joshua vs Fury – What channel will it air in the UK?
This could prove to be a difficult one.
Joshua had an exclusive deal with Sky Sports UK but it was canceled after Usyk's fight. Fury's deal to BT Sport with Fury is not exclusive but he is closely associated with them.
Fury has however fought on Sky Sports Box Office before. He was most famously known for his 2015 win over Wladimirklitschko for the world heavyweight title.
It is possible that both Sky and BT will come to an agreement to collaborate on a dual-broadcast.
However, streaming DAZN is also available in the UK as they broadcast all Matchroom fight nights.
DAZN doesn't offer fights on pay per view like Sky or BT, which could be a problem for potential bidders.
The situation in the United States is even more complicated.
Fury has an exclusive deal signed with ESPN while Joshua's four last fights were shown on streaming service DAZN in America.
ESPN offers a pay per view service for big fight nights, while DAZN works on a subscription-based basis. This makes it difficult to negotiate a deal for the fight on both channels.
Joshua vs Fury: What have they all said about it?
After negotiating with Frank Warren's son George, Eddie Hearn, AJ's promoter, confirmed that they had accepted the offer
Hearn stated that AJ offered him a raise and that he deserved more than 40%.
"But, he's happy. He makes the decisions. I don't make them. So, I came back this morning to say that we accept 60/40.
"We want this reversed in the Rematch, and rightfully so, because you're champion, and you want the larger split which I believe is fair.
They were all once good men back in 2000 and 2000, but not in 2020. They were great men 10 years ago."
Hearn AJ probably believes that the fight will never take place. I wish I could be more optimistic, and I believe it will happen.
"If AJ knocks off Usyk, and Fury knocks down Wilder, then in four months we will be talking about an even larger fight. Although one could lose, or look terrible, I feel that if both fight well, the fight will be huge. It will be a great fight.
