After UFC star Tony Ferguson rants on Twitter about his weight, Khabib has a brutal response.

KHABIB NURMAGOMEDOV brutally trotted Tony Ferguson after the former interim UFC lightweight champion tried to make fun of him on social media.

Ferguson, a fan favourite, tweeted a mockup photo of him elbowing Nurmagomedov in November with the caption: "Alphamoad-CSO - #ThatTypeOfGuy Stay sharp My Friends – Champ Run Fathead Run#Road2Gold Be ready."

Nurmagomedov replied to his rival by tweeting his date of last victory

El Cucuy continued that joke the next month, mocking the creation a 165lb division at Nurmagomedov’s Eagles FC promotion.

The retired Nurmagomedov finally responded to his old rival by sending a short, but blistering tweet.

He tweeted: "June 8, 2019."

Nurmagomedov's tweet refers to Ferguson's last win, which was against Donald Cerrone at UFC 239

Ferguson refused to allow his Russian counterpart to have the final say.

He said, "UFC 209 [he] blamed the cake, [he] felt fear about his life.

"UFC 249, [he] ran [to [his] momma."

Despite Nurmagomedov's retirement, the two have continued to exchange barbs via social media over the past year.

They were supposed to meet up a staggering FIVE time, but they never got together in the octagon.

Injuries for both men, complications from a stressful weight cut and the coronavirus pandemic laid waste to one of the most stylistically-intriguing match-ups in the history of the lightweight division.

Ferguson, 37, currently has a three-fight skid after losing to Charles Oliveira, Justin Gaethje and Beneil Dariush.

His near 11-year tenure in mixed martial arts could be over if he loses his next bout.

Nurmagomedov, a fighter turned promoter, hasn't ruled it out that he could sign the Ultimate Fighter season 13 winner if he is cut by the UFC.

Recently, The Eagle stated that "Anything is Possible." We are open to all possibilities.

"Why not? These guys have worked hard throughout their entire careers. They have fought in over 10 UFC fights and were former champions of UFC.

Ferguson hasn’t fought since Dariush’s defeat last June. However, the promotion does have his next fight lined-up.

UFC President Dana White recently stated that he believes Tony Ferguson is in the ring. "I think we have him lined-up with somebody."
