He lived up to the legend of his father's name, winning by KO with the first pitch he threw.

Anthony Reynaga, his opponent, came charging forward. Kalyl countered with a perfectly timed left high-kicking kick.

Reynaga managed to get to his feet, but the referee disqualified him from the contest. This was an impressive debut performance.

Silva's son was hailed by fans - who were quick to praise him.

One person said, "Legend is in the making."

Another one said, "Amazing, love seeing a legacy being constructed!"

One more: "Like Father, Like Son."

Silva has two fighting sons, Kalyl (22 years old) and Gabriel (24 years), who is an IKF Southern California champion.

Their father, who held the title of middleweight from 2005 to 2013, is widely regarded as one the greatest UFC fighters ever.

He was then released by UFC after having lost five of six fights.

Silva refused to retire at 46 years old and returned to boxing to face Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., a former champion.

The Brazilian won an upset to shock Chavez Jr., 35, on points in June.

Silva had been in negotiations to fight Logan Paul, 26-year-old YouTuber, but instead has signed to fight Tito Ortiz (46-year-old former UFC champion) on September 11.
