DOUGLAS LIMA expressed his respect for Jake Paul and refused to call him's ***', but stated that it would be difficult to fight the YouTuber.
Paul is 4-0 as a fighter and has made a habit out of fighting MMA fighters, with his two most recent wins coming against former UFC stars.
Douglas Lima expressed respect for Jake Paul and refused to call him "His ***'
".
The latest was a points victory over Tyron Woodley (39), who followed a knockout win against Ben Askren (37).
Logan, his older brother, is now officially 0-1 in professional boxing after defeat to KSI (28), a year after their exhibition.
Logan, however, stunned everyone after he faced Floyd Mayweather (44), in an exhibition in June. He survived eight rounds.
Lima, ex-Bellator champion, is full admiration for the brothers, particularly unbeaten Jake. But he scouts his chances against them both.
He stated to MMA Fighting, "I think that I would defeat either of them easily."
"[Jake] can be tough. Jake Paul beat Woodley, and all other things. The guy trains hard, and I see him training alongside professionals.
"I wouldn’t disrespect him and call him s ***.." He has my respect."
Lima, 33 years old, will be back in the cage against Britain's Michael Venom Page (34), who he defeated in 2019.
After two losses, the Brazilian has the welterweight title in his sights once again.
He refused to rule out the possibility of a switch to boxing and believes the Paul brothers are good money.
Lima stated that boxing is good. You can box your brothers and make good money.
"That would be awesome. "But, going to other organizations like the UFC, it never occurred to me to even think about it.
"Boxing one these guys would not be easy. Page is my focus, but I do hope Page gets the chance to be in the box one day."
